PRESS RELEASE: 5TH ANNUAL FREE SHIPPING ON ALL SPONSOR AND DEPARTMENT PET OXYGEN MASK PURCHASES

Pet Oxygen Mask Manufacturer to cover sponsor and department purchase shipping costs to help first responders acquire the pet life saving equipment throughout October 2014.

A Virginia-based pet safety organization is making it easier for first responders to keep pets safe this October.
There are 25,947 fire departments and fire protection districts spread out in over 400,000 stations and 78,258 credentialed EMS vehicles in the United States alone. Since its inception in 2008, the O2 Fur Life Program has placed over 6,700 life-saving pet oxygen kits in more than 3100 first responder departments in the United States and Canada.
“For the fifth consecutive year, McCulloch Medical generously offered to cover all UPS Ground shipping costs for direct first responder and sponsor pet oxygen mask kit orders placed between Oct. 1 and midnight, Oct. 31,” said Ines de Pablo, president of Wag’N O2 Fur Life. “This is a great way to save pets and money and raise awareness about this issue during National Fire Safety Awareness Month.”
Pets, like humans, often times need oxygen after an emergency such as a fire. Pet oxygen mask kits include three different size masks that allow oxygen to be administered to animals of any size – from hamster to foal.
“Too many animals get injured and die every year due to preventable fire related emergencies,” de Pablo said. “Incident mitigation, combined with pet oxygen mask kits, can help save countless pet lives.”
O2 Fur Life was created by de Pablo in 2008 when she realized that aftercare of pets rescued from emergencies, such as fires, was something that most first responders weren’t equipped to handle. "Most humans require oxygen after an emergency, and pets are no different", de Pablo said.

Wag’N O2 Fur Life’s mission is to provide pet oxygen masks to first responders across North America to help them save animal lives following structural fires. Thanks to the generous contribution from the pet oxygen mask manufacturer, McCulloch Medical, the organization will be able to offer free shipping in observance of National Fire Safety Awareness Month. The organization is seeking community support to get pet oxygen mask kits in the hands of rescuers this fall season “because the pet's life they save may be your own,” de Pablo said. Kit prices vary from $80 to $90 based on quantity acquired by generous sponsors.

Each Wag’N O2 Fur Life kit includes:
